Ensure project success from start to finish

There are plenty of examples of companies that have started large software development projects and failed. You don’t want to make the same mistake.

From the very outset of a new project, company owners and directors need to be able to manage timescales, budgets and priorities very tightly. You must have a clear understanding of the project goals and be able to monitor progress towards achieving these goals on an ongoing basis. But there are inevitable obstacles. The project will almost certainly involve people from different parts of the business, as well as external consultants, and teams may be distributed across different locations or even countries. As a result, it can be hard to gain one definitive answer to the question: what is the status today?

During a project, user and business requirements can change. If these changes are not closely monitored at board level, companies can find that the scope of their project stealthily increases. Key deliverables may be overlooked, while timescales and expenditure increase.
